Storage Alloy

background.jpg

HYDROLUX’s hydrogen storage alloys offer the safest and most compact method for hydrogen storage.

Hydrogen energy, with its high energy density and perfect eco-friendliness, is the ultimate clean energy source and serves as a future energy storage medium capable of being converted into various forms of energy.

Solid-state storage using hydrogen alloys is the most secure method for storing large quantities of hydrogen.

Traditional compressed gas storage requires pressures exceeding 150 bar and extensive safety systems to mitigate explosion risks. Liquid hydrogen storage demands ultra-low temperatures of -253°C, resulting in significant storage losses. Ammonia storage involves handling toxic materials, expensive catalysts, and high-temperature thermal decomposition systems.

HYDROLUX’s hydrogen storage alloys can store and release hydrogen reversibly at pressures ranging from 10 to 50 bar. The process of storing and releasing hydrogen is easily controlled by adjusting the external temperature between 10 and 80°C.

These alloys are highly durable, capable of withstanding multiple cycles of hydrogen absorption and desorption. Stored in the form of stable metal hydrides, hydrogen can be safely stored at room temperature for extended periods without the risk of explosion or loss.

HYDROLUX’s hydrogen storage alloys are mounted in standardized cylinders and undergo an initial activation process before being provided. The cylinders can be directly connected to gas piping systems, making them easily adaptable for applications in hydrogen fuel cell mobility, power generators, electrolyzers, and other devices.

HYDROLUX is leading the hydrogen economy by offering clean energy solutions for the future.
